This birthday really snuck up on me this year! I usually don't remember until the flood of comments on my facebook wall. And dA~ ;D; Thank you all for the warm wishes!
Two of my friends invited me to their dorm room for a sketching party with pizza. As a curious side note, pizza in Hong Kong (and Asia in general) is quite different from what we're used to in the US, including some
fine dining restaurants. xDD
One of these days, I will go...!Then, one of them gets a call and she relays it to us, "My friends want to do this... artsy thing! We should totally go!" I feel like that should have been a red flag that something suspicious was going on, but I was actually more preoccupied with who would meet the delivery man, when he showed up at our empty room with the pizza.
When we got there, the room was pitch black, and I was suddenly bowled over by this chorus of "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU~" from inside. Then, I saw the candles on the cake! \(@D@)/ Waugh, a surprise party with cake and curry! (Separately, of course, but still delicious.)
Apparently a bunch of my friends had been planning it for two weeks. I had absolutely no idea. :'DDDD And here I thought I was a perceptive one, but I'm beginning to realize my blind spots. orz In my defense, everyone was completely spot-on in their acting, and this was my first surprise party ever. ;D; Ahh, I feel so blessed with the kind friends I've made in Hong Kong. I'll miss them all dearly.
We ended up telling ghost stories for the rest of the night. xD That was actually my Valentine's Day. I hope everyone else had a good one, too! <3 <3 <3 And just 'cause you're not in love, doesn't mean you can't have fun!!! </something inexcusably cheesy>
orz I should go to sleep now. Take care~!
