For someone like me, it's almost as addicting as the McDonald's game (same website). Except that one had the mercy of forcing the average player to fail after two hours.

Especially whenever I occasionally log into Gaia Online, I get addicted in an instant. Lucky I take breaks that last more than a month afterwards.
deviantART also makes me waste my time. I simply cant resist to shiny art, so that when I check someone's favorites I end up with a dozen opened tabs. And then I don't close them until I watched everything through or, at least, bookmarked them to check out some other day.
It's saddening. xD;;
YES. I open so many tabs at once I can't help but worry I'll overload my server! D:
And you're right, Gaia is occasionally slow, which is understandable with all the attached mini games and animated everythings. A huge strain on the internet connection. Now add the dozen tabs and you have successfully crashed the computer.
Don't worry, though, those addictions are only temporary. mostly because after the computer crashes, you have to go to withdrawal for at least a week before you get it back from tech support; oh the irony of life *pats*
