Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Hi, guys! : D It's been a while since I've been particularly active on dA, and in my absence, my subscription from the generous ~Jazeki ran out.

This is probably for the best for now, as I'm going to be traveling around a bit for the next month or so. :'D
_{But DUDE, I'mma miss the finale for Tiger&Bunny. Ugh, please don't spoil it for me until I've seen it. d':}

As for Otakon, I had a blast. x'D Nothing's quite as flattering as someone pulling you over and asking to take a picture of you. So this is what celebrities feel likeeee... I sort of want to draw a mini comic about the experience! >D; And I spent a ridiculous amount of time at Artist's Alley, despite not having a table, haha~ It was fantastic meeting new artists and old friends and acquaintances. I want to draw fanart for everyone I met. ;T

Oh, oh, and Hölle Kings is back to its weekly updates for Chapter 4, which is pretty exciting for me. ;D We're almost halfway done, hurrah!

I feel like my life has been hectic, but it's entirely my own fault. orz

WELL, I guess I'll try to be more competent when I come back. xD <3
