I just recycled all the papers and loose notes I've hoarded stored for safekeeping from high school.

After clearing through the processed flatness that could have once been a small oak tree, I... Er, I realize that it's a lot... of paper. Oh (but more profoundly, as I look through it all) it's what's on the paper that hurts, too. xD

It's just a shame to throw away all that information.

Thinking about it, all this stuff you learn in grade school is the basics of any good education, and yet we take it all for granted because we have new information that has taken us so much farther in any field.

But thinking about it some more, before syphilis was treatable, and medical care covered the mentally handicapped, rich people would pay to enter a mental asylum for entertainment. The greatest written works of any culture, once encrypted by a language barrier, have been translated so they can educate the other cultures. Also, the vast majority of anything you learn in history class was once classified information that sent government organizations scrabbling like pigeons on a bread crumb.

With that said, it's a shame to have forgotten so much of it!

Now with THAT said, you guys enjoy your school year. C:

Let's suppose that in in the future, I upload a good deal of comic/manga pages.

Do you guys prefer individual pages at a time (as I've been doing with Holle Kings)? Or should I just put them into one zip file per chapter/story that you can download?

This won't be just for Holle Kings. I'll probably have some short stories or mini-series going on in the future. x'D

Please tell me your opinion. :'D

Thanks, guys!

I usually horde previous stuff for about a year.

Then I (unfortunately) stop caring for some reason, then I just throw it all away.

And then my mind tells me that it's called "Recycling."

Throw it all away, eh? Hopefully, you're not recycling with garbage cans! xD

Throw it away into the Recycle Bin?

Most of the time.

We can't be recycling gurus all the time. <D

Oh god I know what you mean. [besides the education haha]
But in my closet, I have two HUGE mounds of paper that I've been keeping since 8th grade of middle school. Every time I look at them I just think about burning it all because... yeah. School's not that exciting as a whole --''
And then I look at it again and I just want to dump the whole thing into this huge recycle bin because wow. That's a fuckload of paper. Multiply it by like. 2000. And goddamnnn. That's how much paper an entire school uses.

But yeah. I completely agree with the fact about taking education for granted. But. It's hard to care 'cause of the constant massive intake we do DDX

...Long comment is long.

Yeah, schools use up a lot of papers. :C In one of my classes where no one did any work, it was just painful to see all the paper used in thick study packets... that no one would ever use.

Especially with the internet. Now it's like.. information overload on popular ideas of today, and then we take everything in school for granted. :[

S'okai, I like thoughtful comments. C:

Yeahhh. It's so much more interesting to just wiki something you found rather than getting force fed for 7+ hours in a stuffy building DDX

Actually this year, my school's gone all anti-paper 'cause the paper budget got cut in half. So now everything's online and I gotta print it out on my own --''
Too bad I cheat and use the library printers hehe.

Hahahaha~ I print reports out like that, too. x'D

lol totally been there and done that in terms of clearing out all ones old stuff , scribbles it took me nearly a year to really clearout the "trash" i had and it was mostly really trash , collected scratch paper and more im sure.
not to mention all the paper/notes / fliers and so on you collect from college
hmmm maybe its time for an artists initiative recycling project?

Oh, there are plenty of artists' initiative recycling projects floating around, if you look for them. :] And there are a good deal of individual efforts; I know a girl who wants to open a store where people can commission her to turn their old clothes into new outfits.

But it's hard to make entire college systems switch to recycling the bulk of their things. :/ Costs and efficiency problems. Which is understandable, but still too bad.
